One thing that really annoys me about this series, is for what's supposed to be a monthly series we used to always get 30 to even 50 pages each month, with that being pretty standard for monthly series. But for the last few years now we're lucky to see even 20 pages a month, to the point where this may as well just become a weekly series.

Coupled with the fact that there's only a couple chapters left (only like 2 at most I think) I'm expecting a sloppy ass ending, where everything just gets glossed over, like what exactly is going on with Hiyori, and what is it that makes her so special. And then there's Yato's dad, that needs to be wrapped up next chapter if they want any hopes of having enough time to finish the story, since they still have to clean up his mess, and ideally give us one last goodbye with all the main characters. I am hoping we're able to see Bisha and Kazuma at least one more time.

I think the change in release amounts is due to one of the artist’s health. She’s had to take a hiatus in the past.

That's because we've been getting half a chapter per month. Because the authors are human and can't physically overwork themselves that much.

If Hiyori left her body just to go and keel over somewhere in spirit form I'm going to be a bit upset. Surely she did SOMETHING, right?

The most useless participation ever
  • Her cord was bited, then the Ayakashi form is a suicide
  • Go to this hell, dont have participation in the last act
  • Now she is dieying again and captured by father, is more a problem what a solution

judging from the fact we haven't heard from hiyori in like half a year, she's dead =\ I feel like the sorcerer plot should've ended several arcs ago. the issue here is that the author wants it to be cool and epic and hae this overarching plot- but that's neer where noragami excelled in the first place- what makes noragami good is the small stuff- which is notably missing in the last year or so of the series.

If they aren't in a good condition, the company should give them sick leave.
Instead of doing bad chapters, they shouldn't do any chapters until they recover.
Problem is that just isn't how the manga industry works.

If you can't cut it, you're out. Manga artists can't really afford to lose any steam, especially in this day in age where peoples attention is incredibly fleeting. Some years back Noragami went on hiatus for like well over a year, and I feel like the series lost a lot of steam, and doesn't seem to be nearly as popular as back when the manga was going strong. Because of that long break I feel that also helped snuff out any chances of the anime getting another season (which was probably already unlikely to happen, since Bones has their head crammed so far up their ass with the MHA anime).

Last month Bungo Stay Dogs had 11 or 12 pages for a monthly series! It can always get worse!

Maybe we should be grateful we’re reading this for free instead of bitching about the boring writing.
And be happy that Japan's work conditions are slightly improving to the point where they can slow down or take hiatuses, instead of making them churn out regular chapters until they died from overworking like in the old days.
