did they ever explain why Ebisu reincarnates so often? Yato needs a customer loyalty plan to get more followers. every 5th call is free or something like that. Heck he could teach self defense, sword arts otherwise he just has to up his price to 500 yen at least.

@liquidxlax I belive it is covered in bishamon’s resurrection, gods are born out of people’s wishes, if a lot of people still prays to a name, even if the god “dies”, they get resurrected due to that, since people are still wishing for it.
Ebisu, being a god of fortune, is definitely popular, so he basically have unlimited lifes, why does he die so often is covered later. Yato on the other hand, assuming that there is some form of time limit before they go “poof” from existence if all people forget about him has effectively one life, like all of us do, except that he needs to keep replenishing the “limit”, so that he can exist. Hyroi is the exception however, since she remembers him, but it’s unknown what is the condition for resurrection, or going poof so he’s not taking any chances
