How SFW are these here forums supposed to be, anyway?

Forgive me if this is the wrong sub-forum in which to post; feel free to move it to a more suitable place if this isn't the right one. Further, I apologise in advance if the rules are posted somewhere I didn't manage to find; I did look, but found nothing.

I've noticed myself, with some regularity, linking people to ████ because the discussion just, like… brought it up. Twice it's been because people wanted Shaou's previous works; once it's been because a reaction image needed a source; a little while ago, it's because the subject of “defeating the Demon Queen by romancing her” came up. There must be other cases I'm not remembering right now. (One was even unwelcome… sorry, @Kisato.)

Thing is… these discussions happened in SFW manga. OK, I'm Dating a Dark Summoner is kind of borderline; but even if we ignore that, the rest fall squarely in the SFW camp. And the problem is not just me… while some commenters take care to be discreet (exhibit A) others don't even try (exhibit B).

So, with that in mind… how SFW are we supposed to keep ourselves? Is there a reason for me to make an effort? Or, have I violated some rules?

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

As you have guessed, one’s comments should roughly match the content rating of the associated title when it comes to how sexual they get.

We don’t see everything however, so if and when you run into a comment that seems inappropriate in that sense, you can report it.

Note that the « wrestling lessons » joke you linked to is completely fine, and this is more about not shocking/aggravating users than about it being some kind if professional environment.

Presumably it's just use your best judgement.

In my case, it's more of while I can see how it could be misconstrued as an invitation to send me that sort of content, most people have their own personal boundaries, especially when in refers to that sort of content. It would be hypocritical of me to shame anyone for reading that. However, it is a bit, shall I say, particular for a relative stranger to link me to something that wouldn't be work suitable.

Obviously in ecchi series or the ilk the line gets a bit blurred but in the situation you mentioned me in is tagged as "Suggestive" so I would be inclined to lean more SFW.

So ultimately the answer is, I should keep doing what I was doing previously.

Note that the « wrestling lessons » joke you linked to is completely fine, and this is more about not shocking/aggravating users than about it being some kind if professional environment.
Just as I thought on both counts, then.
