He doesn't see why she strayed is crazy. When all you do is put fear into your children of course they would find freedom elsewhere. He never tells her why he was so strict either. So of course her sadistic tendency would find an outlet. He works with psychologists. Never thought to consult them.

True, i agree with this, like love tough from my parents generation, some kid will find misunderstood in that not all can get that kind of love

The fall guy is being paid millions of dollars to be in jail for a maximum of 8 years (so highly likely for a lighter sentence and possibility of out even earlier with parole maybe). That's quite a good deal for him. Just need to survive prison first, which is a lot still. But I'd take that deal to be relatively set for life.
