It's interesting that the sword rejected the vampire. To be fair, demon lord candidates were supposed to gather a decision would be made on who would become the next demon lord. I was under the impression there would be a tournament and the winner would be chosen. I guess the vampire was thinking that recovering the demon lord's sword was a sufficient achievement to be recognised, but he's really just bypassing the process of making all other demons recognise him as the demon lord and apparently the sword can sense that and reject him.
watch her pick up reve like it's nothing next ch hahaha
Will she? She has healing magic but no innate recovery ability like a vampire and it doesn't seem like she thinks that she needs extra power to defeat the vampire, so why would she risk getting burned by the sword in the middle of the fight? The vampire isn't going to stand there and let her pick it up either if she somehow decides to try.
Also, re-reading previous chapters, the hero had a dream of the goddess and then Krau showed up by his side. If Reve is anything like that, then there are no signs that any demon has been chosen yet.
Even after the fight has ended, I don't think she'll be all that interested in wielding the demon lord's sword, nor of trying to bring it back to the demons and empower the next demon lord. She hasn't really stated what he own goals were; she's just traveling to present herself as a demon lord candidate but it's not like she herself wants to become the demon lord. She's more interested in finding out the location of the hero sword actually.
Who knows, maybe she'll dual wield the hero and demon lord's sword. XD
