This is a really interesting chapter. I like how it opens on Koi and Uehara talking about how they're a pair, but most of the chapter is how Niina is having a hell of a time trying to finish her manuscript cause it's so much fucking work. She can't reach out, even though Uehara would clearly love to help and he's the first one she thinks of. Not the guy she's working under, not Koi, who she's gotten closer to, but him. He's who she'd turn to.
And lo and behold, in her darkest hour, he arrives. Thought she'd be done already, because he thinks so highly of her. And when she tearfully says that she's not even sure she can finish, all he has is wide eyed enthusiasm. Of course she will! Implied in there is that he fully believes she can, but it's not just that. Because the two of them can do it for sure. The two of them can do anything.
Starts on the idea of a pair, and ends on confirmation of what a pair feels like. It's the small stuff like that, man; story structures, framing of themes... that's what makes a good manga good.
