I personally think that the puppy love Koi feels is something she needs to grow out of, "he shared manga with me when we were like 5" is a shaky foundation to build a relationship upon, and reeks more of dependence and inability to step out into the world by herself. Uehara is a nice guy, but he is also a convenient crutch for Koi to deal with her own insecurities.
But if Miyamoto keeps pulling shit like that, I'll gladly have anyone NTR her out of this race.
