So the author almost explicitly stated that Shiori is gonna drop out of the story sooner or later, considering they're already setting up her new romance for when Uehara rejects her. Now they've introduced a new character for what I bet is gonna be yuri lusting over Niina?

The quality drop-off is starting, and it's gonna be harsh.

That shit was always awful since the author created a premise that precluded any and all development right from the start with absolutely no way to route around it without completely invalidating the MC's entire life purpose. Also, first girl was and is a disaster; harem options were at least a way to pack panels with someone other than her.

The triangle here makes sense. Without knowing anything about this new girl, it's impossible to say whether or not she'd make things better, but the existing duo has been pretty peak and I'm willing to give this creator a little more room to fail than i would that other one.
