Kinda, I feel like most of the reason is that people got kinda sick of the whole who's the winner in romcom when the answer is obvious 99% of time, and even when is not obvious you are disappointing a part of the readers anyway, so after seeing like a harem ending in a webtoon, throuple in another, or crazy things like 100Kano, everytime that you see this type of situation you can't help but think 'It would be easier if they all dated each other' even if it's obviously not realistic. Tho this is just me putting the tinfoil hat, and I can't explain beyond that most of the romcom releasing right now has that vibe that they could go that way.
