Boy, Lento-san sure lucked out in regard to whom he saved.

She's willing to give him a chance, and she's smart.
Well, kinda smart; not smart in regards to surviving as an adventurer, or she wouldn't have been in the position he first found her in, but smart in regard to extrapolating once she does have a clue.
Such as thinking of bringing a mirror, and getting him a mask that will subconsciously start the process of people thinking of him as a "safe" undead, once he reveals who he is.
And, once someone, like maybe Lento-san, takes her under wing, she'll catch on to what's really going on in regard to surviving as an adventurer.

Like I said, he really did luck out in regard to whoop his first post-metamorphosis contact was with.

He appears, based upon the reflections of his Guild Advisor, to be the one person in the area with the best chance of being accepted by the locals after being turned into an undead, provided he gets the chance to talk to them and convince them that he's still Lento-san at heart, that while the body may have changed, the person inside is still the same.
Saving the girl will decidedly count in his favour.
Mentoring her, as he used to do while human, will cement that.

Now, as to his clothing that she provided, I have to admit that the robe looked more like a duster to me.
Well, maybe not; I just opened the proper page again in another tab to check.
Pity, I think dusters are cool.
I'll admit to not being familiar with garments that button up that high. Looks like it would be useful in a snow/rain/sand storm.

This is looking to be a good manga to follow.
The author understands all the standard tropes of this type of world, and is using them intelligently.
The MC is someone who has demonstrated character traits prior to his transformative event in a manner that supports his reacting to his situation in the manner that he did; his established background holds together, and doesn't require a suspension of disbelief in regard to what happens after his transformation.
He doesn't appear to be a Mary Sue/Marty Stu author self-insertion character; if he is, that speaks very well of what the author wishes he were like and capable of doing.

The harem tag does indicate that there will be those who are able to look past his outward appearance. Given the background provided, in regard to how he interacts with people, I can actually believe this as being possible.
It'll help if his further monster evolution stages become more "living human" in outer appearance, as that will require less on the part of people overcoming their instinctive reactions to his appearance.

So apparently Iron is lower than Bronze, though I'm used to thinking of those two in terms of metal strength, in which case Iron would be better than Bronze. No big deal.

What is a big deal is that this complete n00b adventurer without any sort of common sense as demonstrated by delving into parts of the dungeon she shouldn't be in, actually tried to understand him rather than just screaming and running from what is apparently a monster that could one-hit-kill her.

I can say with absolute certainty that over 99% of humans would not attempt to understand the noises coming from a ghoul, no matter how strange its behaviour. I mean we're talking about a species that attacks others of its own kind for having a slightly different skin colour, to say nothing of a half-rotted undead corpse-beast notorious for eating the flesh of the dead. The notion of her actually understanding that it was trying to communicate AND immediately trusting it breaks immersion HARD.
Speaking personally here, if I saw a stronger monster cut a weaker monster in half, I'd try to make myself scarce before the blade even hit the ground, to say nothing of the horrible noises it was making (which I'd probably assume were either some territorial bellow of defiance or moans of pain from the undead being trapped inside their own bodies). Honestly I'm reminded of the eerie undead in Dragon's Dogma, where if you linger near them for long enough, you can hear them talking, parroting out lines from their past lives or begging to be killed.
But no. She just stood there and somehow miraculously interpreted its noises as actual communication AND managed to understand it.
Madness.

And then she somehow comes back, finds him again in the dungeon (she got there without encountering any skeletons?), and brings him considerably more useful equipment than he asked for.
I call bullshit on this. If she had that much sense, she never would have been in that part of the dungeon in the first place.

Unless some justification can be made for her inconsistent behaviour, I declare bad writing.

I find it hard to believe that someone so reliable to the guild went and thought he was useless. If one person managed to reduce the mortality rate of adventurers registered to that guild then he would be given some kind of special rank just for helping. Not only that but he also helped multiple influential people in the city? That kind of person would be able to score a decent position in the guild easily. I fail to see how nobody payed him for his work at all. It just seems way too unlikely.

The girl should be more careful. Trusting this particular ghoul turned out okay, but if she makes this a habit, she'll end up dead, or worse.
