i can understand wanting to sweep it under the rug if the 'assailant' was some rich 'elite' with like parents owning/being ceos of a company but you'd think a suicide would be damaging to their reputation too unless they can shift the blame to the parents or like "mental health"/suicide is basically an 'accepted' thing in japan versus like a criminal targeting someone

I think suicide is seen as more like a tragic accident in Japan in modern times. Might be as a way to gloss over any fault. In the negative way if a family member were kick up a fuss about someone/thing driving them to suicide society can cast them as hysterical and dishonoring the memory of the deceased.

the protagonist's revenge not only involves what happened to Asuza, he is taking revenge on the people who bullied him first, and are you right about the last part or one of them Asuza herself took some action in chapter 34 apparently

Contrasting this story with Confinement King is interesting considering they have the same author. The latter could be called "revenge wish fulfillment" but this story not so much, despite the two having similar "beats". That makes me think that this story is much more likely to end up a tragedy, with MC getting lost in the power games and in the end realizing he lost everything that supposedly mattered to him in the process. Or not even having the revelation himself, and instead suffering when Asomode has decided she's had enough fun and he left to understand that none of this power is his own, and be left to suffer the consequences.

Regardless, I am curious. Confinement King might be a wish fulfillment story but it has enough thought in it to make me think the author isn't incompetent. I want to see what his intentions are.

1. Assumptions, assumptions. Firstly, is being charged for bodily harm or murder really worse than being a cocksleeve? If so, then what's the problem? She's content with what she's got. Secondly, about evidence. Face like a mashed potatoe, torn hymen, etc. of course are not the evidence by any means, right. You can go to Japan and start raping JK girls left and right and no one will do a thing about it, of course. Especially if you have "evidence" on your phone to blackmail the victim.
2. Well, it's really her problem. Why would a rapist use someone to lure her out? Why would she ask her "friend" why did he do so? Nooo, of course not.

MC too obsessed with revenge for a wronged friend than to check on the wronged friend. Let alone passing along that part of the "buck" is so cowardly imo. If he wants to do something he needs to do it the whole way. Otherwise this revenge is for his powerless self than for others.

He actually has been attempting to reach out to her via text, but feels guilty for having set the whole thing in motion from his phone being used. He is giving her space to hopefully get better or to a point where she will reply back to him.
Tbh, these are highschoolers not mental health specialists.

The revenge is just him trying to get back at the group for using him. He is saying its for his friend, but im pretty sure its for himself as well. Sounds dumb, until you realize that the demon has been basically leading him in a direction the entire time. He took the bait and is just falling more and more into her quest for power.

I think people are mistaking this story as that of some good boy of justice having his unique revenge by raping random girls, and then the plot will bend itself to make him the good guy, and everyone else is the bad guy, and the raped childhood friend will then become clean and a virgin again, and then the reader will be happy because she is not used goods anymore and stuff.

But hey, it's probably a mega brain 4D chess plot where the girl he's avenging is eventually shown to also be a broken, dependent mess much like all the girls that he has made into slaves, and the demon will go "ha ha you were my main target the entire time actually, not the other guys".

Honestly I'd rather they just don't show Azusa's continued situation and instead make it a Shyamalan Twist to be revealed after he got his final revenge. As it is, he just seem like a callous idiot.

in chapter 34 of the manga on the last page there is a girl dragging Takeshige with a chain wrapped around his neck in the same place where Asuza was abused, there is a high chance of it being her, you just can't tell who it is exactly because she is using it a coat with a hood and she also saw the photos of bullying that the protagonist suffered at the hands of Takeshige and his friends, and there is even one of the photos with a message at the bottom making fun of Sakuraba's face for trying to protect Asuza, I remember someone commenting in one of the chapters of this manga that Sakuraba distanced himself from Asuza so she wouldn't be a victim of bullying like him, he may have stopped talking to her around that part where Sakuraba started to be a victim of bullying with the help of Miku, and going back to Asuza's part, the girl who could be her steps on Takeshige's crotch, and I also think it could be her because at the beginning of this page there is a flashback to when Asuza went to that place where she was abused thinking it was Sakuraba who called her to that place in chapter 1, she keeps calling Shou-chan until she is attacked by Takeshige

Asmode is the Demon Of Lust and is trying to gain her power back. Lust 1of 7 sins…so will the other 6 show up? Will they give power to Azusa or the bullies? How did Asmode lose her powers in the first place?

I always had this doubt too, so we'll only know when we focus more on Asmode's past, at the moment we only know that she had her power stolen by probably another demon or demons, we don't know what Asmode's power level is in comparison to the other demons and if they are the other deadly sins, we don't know if she was defeated in a fight or was simply betrayed by other demons or simply several demons joined together against her, we just know that she needs the protagonist's lust to replenish that power and well the People wonder why Asmode chose the protagonist, in my opinion it was only Sakuraba because he was there at that moment and the fact that it would be easier for him to accept the contract with Asmode, just imagine how much more difficult it would be for Asmode to have to convince someone to work with her without the person having been washed to the limit, people would be too suspicious to believe in a demon appearing out of nowhere and offering help, this is very strange, but as Sakuraba was already at the limit, he just wanted to go and stab the rapist and the people who bullied him.

That’s okay. I think it shows how fed up the translation team are and what the translation team wanted to happen.

Writing this made me remember that Miku saw the two (didn’t see Azusa face) and wonder if she will tell MC even though she was told to leave Tokushige alone.
