Oh I don't know, bro. Maybe if MC has a supernatural power and a demon by his side that can go through matter and fly and stuff to check up on her and maybe read her texts and/or thoughts? I guess he doesn't because he hasn't done it yet. Couldn't be that the author purposefully written it like that for the plot they want, right?

Maybe keep tabs on her so she doesn't get called out by the bully to be raped? I mean they had the girl who was selling her body because she was blackmailed so he knows that group is not above that.

Even if MC doesn't think the bad guys will keep doing bad things and just leave her alone, he should've kept tabs on her to prevent offing herself because that is not far from happening.
