Somethings can't be forgotten and false accusations about SA are one of them. That can destroy an innocent persons life. None of those people deserve forgiveness, and the sheer audacity to act shocked when he doesn't want to hang out with people the who made his life terrible

What I don't understand is why is everyone suddenly so hell-bent on fixing their relationships with him? It's not like he won a lottery or something. It would make sense if those events happened over a span of time, but they all changed together like some hive mind.

Wasn't expecting a woman to be able to so accurately write from a gigachad based male perspective and drop all those ":coffee: woman moment" panels

It's definitely possible. A lot of it could be that they simply realized that they were wrong, or at least felt slightly bad when the result was that he simply withdrew from everyone. A lot of people would love to feel like they've done good, but never truly examine their own actions and behaviour, and thus simply try to do what is 'good', but only on a surface level.
in other words, they're aware at least in part that the rumors were false or that they treated him way too harshly regardless, and they cannot seem to stop and think about their actions properly for a moment. They simply think that having him as a friend will imply that he's 'forgiven' them and thus their wrongs are erased.

I think the reason is actually simpler than even that. Yes, some of them definitely feel slightly bad, and tbf some may not even be fully aware of the damage that happened to him. Remember, the "victim" of an event is often "spared" from the negative talk about their "trauma".

Either way, the reason is probably kind of simple. He has gotten a lot more handsome. It is a simple psychological thing that people that look nice tend to make people subconsciously like and trust them more so than those that are either average or ugly.

Yeah, in short, the shift in attitude for some of them is undoubtedly, and ironically, skin deep.

His mother though? She... she has 0 excuses. She is just a bad parent. Straight out.

Seems obvious that Shinozuka is Pomeko, but now it's confirmed. Interestingly, she was also betrayed by his betrayer's new bestie. Our boy needs an ally in this crapsack life, and I feel that she needs one herself. I'd be surprised if they don't become that friend to each other (and maybe lover later).

I do wonder why these bad girls are suddenly trying to patch things up with him in high school. Did they suddenly realize what they did was wrong and felt guilty, yet for some reason stop short of actually acknowledging their wrongs to say sorry and instead either downplay the pain and harm done (Shizuka) or outright pretend it was all his fault (Haruka)? Or was it simply just because he's good looking now despite his ruined reputation?

I don't know if his ex-childhood friend was also as two-faced as the other girls, but that level of blissful ignorance on her face is just as insulting as if she deliberately ignored his suffering in the past.

On a side note I'd like to call this the anti-harem: the story seems full of girls who are enemies instead of love interests and who the audience is expected to root against. I don't see this kind of thing often, so it actually feels kinda refreshing to me.

He should forgive, and not for their sakes but for his own. Holding on to grudges hurts the holder at least as much as it hurts the begrudged, and we can clearly see that in just how awful he feels all the time. That doesn't necessarily mean going out with the teary-eyed girl or going back to how things were before with his sister, but forgiveness would help him recover.
