I think the characterisations are quite exaggerated for all the females who had hurt or kept silent over their incidents with the protagonist. It gets on our readers' nerves.

But I kind of doubt these things happened in reality. Because that'd be too naive, provided their ages. And honestly, you wouldn't want to cross these people in real life because if they keep such hardened memories, they might hold the longest grudges, seem obsessive or to have psychological problems of their own.

You would be surprised how people shift their attitude purely because someone changes from "eh" looking to handsome or beautiful. It is super shallow, but lot of people (me included) are not immune to the effect.

And of course it wouldn't be easy. They both have respective problems to overcome before they could be friends. Just becuse they're both ostracized doesn't mean Shinjou and Shinozuka are going to be fast friends.

Miyu who didn't lift a finger to clear the air about him not actually assaulting her gets unceremoniously ignored. Her vaunted makeover and "nostalgia" trip understandably had zero effect on someone she helped hurt. Just a taste of more disappointment to come for her if she keeps pushing.

Her stepmother and stepsister trying to curry his favor was disgusting, especially the mother after what she did to him. Expecting easy forgiveness after pretending there was no harm done? Nope. Not in this manga. Anyway, they'll likely just turn him into their shopping bag carrier so it was a good call to leave in any case. The failed love-bombing was a trap, I'm sure. They'll just continue abusing him if he gave in this time.

Despite his cold and indifferent attitude it's actually good to see he's not completely given up on all girls after getting burned by ~6 different bad women. He's the one trying to reach out to Pomeko and I think that demonstrates a kind of inner strength in him. He's really only cold to those who hurt him when it would've been understandable for a teen in his shoes to be lashing out at everybody (I think Pomeko is in this stage).

You're misreading this. They're not interested in him in any real sense. They're trying to make up with him to soothe their own guilt about the situation, but since they don't know what he's been through, they don't see why what they did was really all that bad, so their apologies/attempts to make up completely miss the mark and are way too late
