Like, honestly, your comment is really...baffling. Twilight, glorifies toxicity because it shows an extremely dependent relationship and suicidal behavior in a positive light. I can agree with that if that's what you're saying, but again, you didn't explain anything. Me, saying this story is written by an author and that the author made the characters unrealistic and falls into tropes and clichés.

How am I glorifying toxicity? I completely agree that these other characters around the MC are toxic and that they've been bad people. Nowhere did I say anything that would suggest otherwise. The only thing I said is that the author wrote them that way. And yet you just make a horrible comment.

seriously though why do they even flock to him like moths even though he got a bad rep and they're the ones responsible for it? like don't they think the bad rumors will latch onto them too? and why haven't they just... help deny the allegations instead then? i understand guilt factor, but it's pretty weird overall. like it feels like a forced introduction that doesn't really lead anywhere deep except reiterating why he doesn't trust anyone.

Im guessing guilt over past sins.

Thats what i figured, i got to the bit where the girls all sit around and admit they fucked up but dont do anything about it except decide to selfishly mettle in homies life even further and try to set him up with his new friend. This whole series grossed me out so i dropped it. Ive been the victim of false accusations before and i can genuinely say it can ruin not only your life but your mental health as well. Im still dealing with the repercussions and its a long and annoyingly hard process. Personally if i was in the same situation as this guy i would've, without a doubt, physically attacked someone by this point, dude has way too much patience. Much more than me.

It's such a good premise like the series about the ex-girlfriend being abusive but this one wastes the great under represented issue and basically just turns it into a "Wrongly accused and the other party doesn't rectify this? Just man up and forgive them" while casually ignoring the MC will forever be stained by this and as you said all the do is underplay it calling it a mistake and do jack all nothing to help like oh I dunno telling people it was wrong.

As someone who has had their fair share of betrayals, it doesn't work like that. The sheer emotional stress will leave scars and make it harder to form relationships, whether platonic or romantic. Hell, the whole reason I've fallen into manga recently is due to a harsh betrayal I experienced around Valentine's Day (you can probably get a rough idea of what happened). Finding someone who you "won't mind betraying you one or two times" is a stupid answer. The message should be "Find someone who you can trust", not this utter nonsense.

Based on what she thinks of her sister, that means Saeko isn't one of the people who hurt her. Pomeko's less trusting of people but she's also got one more ally than he does (his dad could be on his side, but he's never around anyway).

Actually, she is. She prioritized her own and her family's reputation over the truth for her son and his mental health. So now she's understandably reaping the consequences for her poor parenting actions.

I hope sensei isn't yet another of the bad people waiting to betray them or anything later. She did watch over him rejecting that other girl before. We're at the healing and ally-finding stage, right? But I would hesitate to call her an ally with her lukewarm take on things. And that doesn't even sound like good advice at all. It sounds like the kind of advice that would lead to an abusive relationship where the abused is more accepting of betrayal and cheating by her abusive partner.

So this is when they're both supposed to start healing each other gradually, then becoming friends... (and maybe even lovers). I don't want to see another painful betrayal event. It was all already executed during the setup of this story. Now that all 6 of those who hurt him have shown up again and got a turn at getting spurned, my guess is that we'll deal with Pomeko's trauma next and have her enemies show up. Nanako still hasn't had her turn yet.
