We've seen in a previous chapter (26), when Michi and Yutaka-kun are measuring Genjin properties, that it comes out of her mouth. But we don't know for sure that that's the only place!
Imagine you fart and left your underwear like a muffin wrap.

It's not like she has a lot to go on on who she is at that point anyway. An artist who happened to have used a unique feature of her species as part of her art. Quite frankly, Mokuri is the more off putting one given that she apparently gets pissed off at the slightest approach of the topic that she's distinct.
Sugimi may be a bit excessive, but wanting to understand these blatant and extreme differences is perfectly reasonable. Even in the real world you've got people wondering how someone's race, gender, sexuality, etc. might end up influencing their work. And yet here you've got someone who naturally produces a material used in art, that they have personally made use of in the past, and being curious about it is somehow wrong?
I dunno.

If it were me as an artist and someone came up and was more interested about how what I am influenced my work instead of who I am I would be pretty annoyed too.

My prediction is that the reason Mokuri left social media is because she feels like people care more about her art as something "A Spider Genjin made" than anything about her as a person and what she's actually trying to say with her art.

She even agrees to the interview in the first place after emphasizing/clarifying it would basically be "Just as a member of the art club." And then ends the interview once Michi says "BECAUSE you are an insect person."

That was the end of my thoughts but I got curious and went to read exactly what she said when she first showed up and in response to Yutaka being amazed at her web spewing she said "but they were merely threads I was compelled to bring forth at human behest. Such a thing is not beautiful in the least." Which added onto to how she acts in this chapter leads me to believe she feels upset at people being more amazed at the spectacle of her using webs instead of anything about her art.

Okay sorry I really didn't mean for this to go on so long but it got my noggin joggin and it's a very slow night at work.

When Tyler the Creator was questioned about him being bisexual and some journalists made articles in the vein of how should they deal with him being part of queer culture, he just said why does it matter and dismissed all of that. This chapter is a similar situatuon.

So we haven't seen it yet, but given that she used to very active on social media and then completely shut down, I bet there's a very traumatic fan incident in there. Morishita-sensei is pretty good about nobody being actually a bad guy (Senga!) so I trust that somewhere down the road (chapter 30?) we'll find out what happened to her to make her so standoffish.
Considering her disdain that we've seen for her threads and how normal humans seem to treat them as something special, it is likely something relating to them. She was vaunted as a great artist who was praised for her webbing as well as her artwork only for that actual webbing to probably just be stuff she left lying around while trying to work on the actual artwork.

This probably led to her quitting social media and most of her artwork in general. Not only have we seen during the examination chapter that she spit out silk and called it garbage produced because a human asked for it but she acts like she hates it here as well. She likely wants to be recognized for her skill as an actual artist, not an artist that happens to be an arachne.

I assume that her art is simply the painting on the canvas and all the web is just something she create for convenience like holding her paint, brush, etc but people somehow think that her art include all the web and praise her for it. Therefore, she feels annoy and quit the social network. It is the same in this chapter, I don't see how the web is part of her art at all but Michi just assume that it is and become excited over it. It is understandable that Mokuri feel offended, the thing that she put all her effort in to create, her art loses to something that she can easily create as part of her race, her web.

I'll say it. Spider girl is incredibly pretentious/insufferable. She was horrible to our boy Yutaka for giving her a simple compliment, and now she's been terrible to Michi too. Yes, Michi came off too strongly, but the spider girl didn't have to be so acidic. What an off-putting personality.
