I'm scared that it looks like progress, too many times has there been status que hell for 100 chapters after it looks like they are right at the finish line.

I thought that they were snooping around and saw the scene between Yutaka and Tsumiki...

I hope they become a couple at the end of the volume and not that we will get the next 3 books of them not confessing...
Hopefully not. Not everything needs to cater to brain rot crowd. The fluff and slow pace of this manga is one of it's strong sides. This isn't a romcom

Yeah, let it cook slow. There is a possible couple in the making but it's super early and I hope it doesn't rush anything.

dunno if the artist intended for it, but the way his palms are facing each other makes it difficult to control the direction of the ball. for consistent direction, you want to have your palms facing the sky, and cup either hand for stability. the inner parts of the arm are flatter and have a wider surface.
though it's amazing how she's able to catch those despite the unpredictable nature.

i feel like romcoms have destroyed peoples perception of a slow romance completely now slow romance is seen in a negative light and people just want the dang romance not a hundred chapters of nothing. one thing i noticed is japanese are good at building the romance but almost always fail in going through with it. and of the ones that do get to proposal they drop the ball on the story AFTER they get together.

I agree with everything you've said but tentatively hope Morishita-sensei can navigate this because so far she's avoided all the things I hate most about modern romcoms - especially the 'let's make them both too dumb to figure out they like the other person' , 'oh I'm out of ideas let's inject another harem member', 'each individual knows they're in love but will take that to their grave before admitting it to the other person', and 'every time someone actually attempts to confess something stupid happens (train goes by) and then it'll be another three months.'

On 'let's make them both too dumb' it's taken a little while for them to actually fall in love and realize it, but I think the pace has been pretty good? It's been a year to get here, even with as oblivious as Tsumiki is. For 'inject another harem member' I went 'oh shit' with Ako because I did NOT want this manga to degenerate into generic harem crap, but it turned out she was just there to kick Tsumiki in the ass and it actually moved things forward (she was never a contender, poor girl). On the last two, well we haven't seen yet, but I think progress has been good. The big thing to worry about here are whether the editors at Sunday will allow the MC/FMC to get in a relationship because 'well that's the end of the series, right?' But they let it happen in Komi-san and a few others.

And if they do, well there's still plenty of comedy and feels to be had, why would it stop? Yutaka has to man up to Tsumiki dad and Yutaka's family has to deal with Tsumiki. We still don't know what's up with Yutaka's older sister! There's still plenty of stuff for them to do and there are all the other characters.

I do like how this manga slows things down not by stupid misunderstandings but just by focusing on other characters for a chapter or two instead, and then gets back to the progress. As long as it doesn't turn into that other cliche of 'Oh okay we got the MC and FMC together, now that's boring, let's focus on getting another couple together and barely see the original couple!'

So it's a big minefield to navigate, but so far she's avoided everything I hate (nice fakeout with Ako!) and I will trust her, cross fingers. She is not your typical romcom author!
