How do Genji not know about cooking? Even cavemen knew how to do it.

Just how undeveloped is their society for them to have trouble understanding basic cooking skills?
I mean, a ton of humans also struggle with basic cooking, so...
I'm going to assume a bunch of students struggling with basic cooking is not representative of the entire population. Too small a sample, after all.

The idea is that the Genjin are different from humans, physicaly but also in their own cultures, behaviours, etc. So what can be intimate to us is normal to them, and vice versa. The obvious example is the blood sucking everyone in the comments freaked out about, but another can be the bandaid in this chapter. I doubt Tsumiki would have been able to put it on herself easily with those sharp nails, hence Yutaka helping her. Likewise the other Genjin also have their own issues, like the octopus guy wanting to avoid water due to his fear of electricity.
Also my theory is that she's slowly becoming more aware of Yutaka and herself, or something like that
I agree 100%, they are showing that cultures are different and that things can be normal for some, more intimate for others

Most of my uni classmates can't cook anything, and find it weird I cook all my food. I would just assume it's because the Gejin are children. I'm more confused over the control of strength Tsumiki shows, sometimes she's good at it and the not

From what we saw of werewolf society, they live in tune with nature, so I assume that they likely eat raw meat from hunted prey, like true wolves.

You are completely right and the octopus thing for example is great. As could have been a million other ideas. Just don‘t mention the bloodsucking anymore if you want to make that point.
It was a mistake by the author that actively went against what you try to say in your comment here.
You are on the right track but this example is simply falsely used.

Thanks for the TL !

I think it is difficult for the author to describe the Genji completely in a few chapters.
Maybe she could consider introducing some Genji settings on the last page of each chapter or write a chapter specifically to introduce the Genji.
