no one in nicole's family seem to care about their engagement too (other than her maid).
SOMEONE PLEASE INTERVENE!!!!
As another commenter said, nicole is not blameless here, as every time keios tries to break this cycle she turns it down without trying or taking a clear stance on this matter, she could request a blanc marriage herself and have him sign it if she wanted to.

Nicole's actions aren't in a vacuum, she is simply turning down someone on whom she has long since given up. He spurned her many times, left her alone for years because he has not grown emotionally past like 6 years old. I would go so far as to say that she is, in fact, blameless because it's not her job to have infinite patience for her fiancé who still needs to catch up to the rest of his peers.
