Now I'm almost getting nervous over the romantic tension in this cooking manga - but I'm sure it'll all end happily, with Yamaoka marrying the lovely chairman Niki.

Might as well settle for the Chairman! Marrying anyone from his family can guarantee that you'll never have to work again in your life, but marrying the Chairman will ensure your family and descendants can just live in absolute wealth without any work for 7 generations straight and beyond.

Honestly, if this wasn’t a gag manga half the time, the restaurant thing would be a really good deal.

He’s be his own boss, he can pick and choose to delegate the work, his CEO actually likes and respects him…

i like your tl of the parachute metaphor! it's an interesting show of yamaoka's character outside of the face-offs, and i like the tact in his reply-- it's also just plain fun to see a bunch of different sardine dishes! it reminds me of how canned sardines are getting more popular these days✌️thanks for the chapter & notes!🙌

Settle?! SETTLE?! Kurita is a paltry sardine; Mariko is a risky fugu, but the Chairman - now that's the real fatty tuna of the bunch!
