I actually like the interactions between Yuzan and Kurita
They actually interact a lot more than you'd think throughout the manga, usually when Kurita feels she has to see Yuzan to help Yamaoka, who's in a pinch, and can't find the solution/answer by himself.

I think this chapter starts a point where the role division between Yamaoka and Kurita becomes clear: Yamaoka is the brawn (since he's the one who cooks all the time), and Kurita is the brain (with her surprising insights and clever mastery of words that can sway people like even Yuzan himself).

I do think Yuzan is way more mellow to her compared to Yamaoka, I think in a sense he can somehow sense that this girl will be come his daughter(-in-law) in the future lol

Wedding is a once in a lifetime thing. Why bother acting modest for such an occasion. Its like coming to a party to scold people for having fun.
Also kurita doesnt know a shred about cooking lmao. Its like that guy from the menu movie.

These kinds of people are common in the story because of how the story consistently demonizes opulence and the overbearing display of material wealth.

Not a bad moral by itself (and some characters are justified when they hate it), but sometimes it does come off as silly instead, like Keisaku's teacher here.
