I'm not gonna lie, I fail to see what the problem is aside from a matter of pride.
Them losing the contests or the contest being replaced by some new project that is singing praises to Kaibara is irrelevant. Like, the Ultimate Menu is started as a project to celebrate the company's anniversary, and supposedly they've been releasing articles about the menu's progress off-screen. The contests are technically just a sidepiece.

Yeah, I guessed it was gonna be that its badly planned out as a full course...but....apparantly not according to the chapter. I dont know what its gonna be.

The funny thing is, before Teito jumped into it, the Ultimate Menu had apparently not released a single article and they were planning to apparently just release everything all at once or something... I remember reading that and thinking it was insane, but it was apparently the case and Teito jumping in with the Supreme Menu was what got them to start releasing articles.

I think it's the "losing face" thing combined with the worry that Tozai will lose more subscribers to Teito. That's my guess.

Wow Arakawa is usually not that terrible for me but she is in this chapter, BOI we know how she was with Yamaoka with that rich lady coworker but sure Kurita can bag Dan and it totally is fine

Yeah. Arakawa and Mitani (or Tabata and Hanamura) are big shippers for Yamaoka and Kurita, so her behavior here is somewhat out of place. Although one could also interpret it as her pushing her toward Dan in order to try and get Yamaoka to be jealous. Of course, that's a charitable interpretation on my part.
