At last. I've been itching to get to Dan's introduction ever since I started translating Oishinbo.
I honestly find Dan to be a fascinating character, not entirely for his character as presented in the story, but more for what narrative purpose he serves. I consider him to be perhaps the most calculated addition to the cast, though it'd perhaps be better to explain the why after we finish up this introductory story.
