The source for this is maybe my favorite webnovel of this particular microgenre (live-streamed modern dungeons). In the land of depressive girlfailure manga, the peppy girlfailure is king. My understanding is that the light novels for this series have sold pretty well too, so I suspect this isn’t a typical “2/3 volume promotion for the light novels then axe” situation if that’s something people care about. Though I guess that’s assuming the manga sales reflect the light novels

I can’t remember exactly when this scene happens but I hope it at least lasts long enough to cover the bit where our resident girlfailure yells fist fuck in English as she punches something because she doesn’t know what it means

I think that's a normal reaction, no? It's as if one watches a Superman Movie as a child and then as a high schooler goes around town in a superhero costume trying to stop some thieves or something like that. You would think that person is strange and even in Japan people probably think that someone with chuunibyou is strange.
And it's not about going dungeon diving because of the anime, it's about wearing a dress which is impractical.
