How does this keep just getting better and better
Ann's "finely powdered cooking" was pretty much what I expected - though all that stewed/slow-roasted meat she had when we first saw her was probably amazing if it just falls off the bone due to how she goes about prepping food.
Also, she really hasn't seen Kachua's "Hero Moments", after all - I'd forgotten that, so I look forward to what that brings about between them, if/when she has to go "Momma Bear Mode" on some hapless marauding monster.
I pretty much figured either Ed or Barbara would have some sort of something to say about our Bandaged Friend Aug, but that was sadly less than I'd hoped - but, I'm sure there'll be time for more, especially if they all hang around the home when they're not out adventuring. (And Kachua's such a mom, I can't help but expect she's gonna soft-adopt all of them to some extent and they'll become fixtures in the lives of Ed & Barbara, too.)
But the cream of the crop was definitely the Mother Son heart-to-heart, and I think it fully encapsulates the magic of this series. Our protagonist has a cheat skill, but she doesn't lose sight of what's important, and it's more like window-dressing to her character, and that sheer compassionate maternal side sits front and center at all the right moments. It's technically a power fantasy dungeon manga, but there's a lot of heart at the base of it all, and I think the focus being on her helping people and bringing others together is a great move on the author's part.
Thanks again for the TL work as always.
