maybe we'll see him at the very end, maybe the author didn't wanna kill him off in the beginning so it wouldn't be some 'single mom tragic backstory' (tho idk how they'd react if he was some wholesome stay at home dad that was better at homemaking than adventuring, maybe something like tatsu/way of the househusband but not as comically 'dangerous' b/c of a past)
