Ana's little lore dump is obviously a flag for a Future Encounter, but the increasing closing of distance between the party members is great to see. They trust one another already, but every time we see them they feel a bit more like family. And that's what it's all about, after all.

Probably it could be like a cultural thing, like for them, petting is like way too personal... one human leader going too far over a beastkin leader and... several years later they hate eachother for who knows what reason, and those who know, are honestly too embarrassed to do anything about it, since it escalated so much
