I don't know/remember if they dated long before marrying, but it looks like it's not that long. Even on chapter 1 MC feels awkward interacting with Touko, they haven't met long and just begun living together. You don't become "family" just by association, the relationship must be built. The only MC has is maybe some form of responsibility for accepting the marriage.

And the sister only met mom and daughter on chapter 13. MC's sister may trust him because she knows him for long, but the other two are strangers.

Sister thought she could trust her brother to keep her baby safe based on her experience with her brother, sadly for her it didn't go well. MC failed to keep an eye on his sister's baby, he should have stayed with Touko, ready to take back the baby since he accepted to be responsible for the baby.
