I was in doubt between the above or "This is just a slice of life where the MC is constantly sweating". No, seriously. Go back and check the panels. In almost all of them the MC has a sweat drop. Mangaka-san probably sends this 😥 emoji in every Line message.

Nah, nothing's going to happen for sure—and if it does, I'd be surprised.

There's never a truly peaceful chapter in this manga. There's always some tension slowly building up

It's fascinating how, once again, nothing really suspicious happened, but the framing of the panels makes even something simple as shopping feel very tense.

I still think the funniest twist would be for there to not be anything sinister afoot at all, though I don't know if that'd be all that interesting...
