My only suggestion/criticism is that the untranslated "annou" on page 26 should probably just be "umm"

I know those sorts of utterances and non-word things (like "fumu" and "ara" are often left as flavor or for meme value, but they have English equivalent and it helps English readers understand them more easily without having to ask or look up what they are.

bruh of all the examples you choose fumu and ara. A fellow of culture i see.
Jokes aside, I don't think "umm" is the English equivalence of "annou", since the latter is also used in contexts where they replace "excuse me". Annou also sounds extra polite to me for some reason, so it gives a comfort touch that umm couldn't.

Terrible dialog, wonky pacing, and a lackluster and rushed beginning... this isn't doing too great as a story🫤. Let's see where it goes in the next few chapters. Hopefully, the dialogue gets a bit more intelligent and the story starts to develop into, well, an actual story😅.
