Having a second (potentially recurring?) benevolent spirit in play might be fun, and a good thing for Majima, if only because it's someone who might be able to watch over Suzu when Majima can't be physically present.

It's wonderful seeing Majima slowly get more comfortable with the idea that Suzu is someone she wants in her life, the way she caught herself mentally when she realized she didn't wanna get pushed out of the window because she wouldn't be able to protect Suzu was really good

Suzu won't shun Majima but what's more likely is her feelings of inadequacy taking over and Suzu shunning Suzu. Something about endangering the one you love, or a feeling of "of course she used me as spirit bait, she's so cool and I'm so worthless and clumsy".
