my speculation: when okiku will find peace and pass on, the friend (who look very close to her also) will take her place as the "lost love"So we've got a goal now. Good. Her love for Okiku was clear before but it's nice that she's realized it so soon. I'm still interested in the role the friend will have. I feel like she'll be more of an antagonist than maybe some might think based on her few scenes so far. There was that smiling ghost and Okiku is too sympathetic to just cast aside for a childhood crush. Plus, Ryou has recognized her mistakes with her friend and doesn't want to repeat them with Okiku. Unless the situation changes drastically, I don't see how you extricate Okiku from Ryou in a pleasant manner, especially not for a past relationship. So what will the friend's role be (besides potentially a rival)?
I thought so to but that seems so obvious that I'm wondering (and hoping) we go a different route. It's been written so differently so far that I can't imagine it will do the sort of typical "pass on and be replaced thing." These ghost romance stories nearly always end in that kind of way, so you can often see the ending the moment the story starts. I want it to do something unique and the friend has been mentioned so much that it feels like they're deliberately playing up the expectations. I'm thinking it's a red herring. But we'll see.my speculation: when okiku will find peace and pass on, the friend (who look very close to her also) will take her place as the "lost love"
is like when your dog turns tiny in the shower, she also turned tiny after the rainWait. Why does okiku look so small in the last page?
We're going meta here... Weather in filmography is often used to depict and emphasize the characters' mood. Was the rain necessary?
