He's finally aware
I was wondering why this chapter seemed familiar. Finally all caught up with the anime! Next chapter is new content.
The only one I can remember from the top of my head is that crossdressing romcom with the girl that's afraid of men and the guy with the "scary" face.It would actually be interesting to see him move on from his love at first sight crush Hina to Kana as the series progresses. Things like that are pretty uncommon to see.
in the anime is even more clear it's about kanaI don't get it... Subtlety is not my strong suite, so I am unsure what just happened? Especially with this writer and that stunt over the hanky... So The Yuta has him close his eyes, and when he opens them, he is looking at Higa and panics, but is it him "noticing" her, or is he still just guilty for staying up all night? I don't get it...
You clearly forgot ToradoraThe only one I can remember from the top of my head is that crossdressing romcom with the girl that's afraid of men and the guy with the "scary" face.
So basically the ship is turning? No, it's him noticing Kaanaa. It's not that subtle. If you watched the anime, the scene is even more obvious (the memories are all Hiina focused until he sees Kaana at the end, as opposed to the mix of memories in the manga).
Take this in conjunction with the cooking class chapter, it's even moreso obvious. Teeru is starting to catch the feels for Kaanaa.
I think it's because his feelings for Hiina closely overlap or basically him confusing his feelings for Okinawa in general. When he met Kaana for the first time, the culture shock hadn't set in yet.
Then he went to school and it hit him all at once he's in a different place, so it's easy to attach to someone like Hiina who's welcoming him and willing to be a tour guide and show off Okinawa culture to him.
Now that he's settled into his new home, the need for the tour guide diminished, and now I think he's starting to notice Kaanaa, since aside from looking out for him, their connection goes deeper than just "learning Okinawa."
