i wouldnt say hes worth much especially after he loses here like no one will belief himOooh. An 8th prince is probably quite useful as a political hostage. Assuming neither Panamera nor the ballista kill him. I can sympathize with the urge to purge incompetent commanders too.
Though in his defense, I'm sure this prince is deeply confused and more than a little desperate. Like, strategically, the best move is obviously to either back off and report this gap in intel or defect to this superior power. But on a personal level, he's screwed if he goes back empty-handed, set up to fail, and common sense dictates that what he's seeing is impossible.
Rather than just arrogance (not that he's that smart anyway), I think betting on the assumption that you're looking at a bluff isn't necessarily wrong.
perhaps the prince is too cheap to pay a spy. or too arrogant to have a spy because he KNOWS everything in the world. NOONE is smarter than him and his peanutsized brain! The prince's intelligence aside, don't they have any spy in the kingdom to inform about the king's tour to frontier region? It's not like he made the trip a secret anyway, there's a huge entourage following him around.
Well, even then there's some value to him. For instance, releasing him to sow discord and a power struggle in the empire. Or keeping him on standby to install him as a puppet ruler, meaning the rest of the royal family can be killed with much less power vacuums.i wouldnt say hes worth much especially after he loses here like no one will belief him
No real need. There is a perfectly good Wyvern who would probably be more than willing to dispose of his current rider if Alti interfered with his riders control for a moment or two.Kid, you had better make your wife a doll that can fly.
