they may had a chance a few months ago but now, with all the fortifications and weapons, they stood little chances. the king being there was just the worst roll of dice they could have gotten.
these guys really picked the wrong time to invade.

I was thinking shotgun from the previous release, but was not expecting Shuriken "shot" ammo. I have no idea how the hell that even works, regardless of how thin or light, the momentum from the initial launch gets distorted to hell and back from wind pressure. I get that you would get extended flight, but so many more of them, should have just floundered and fallen down.Shotgun method. Always a blast.
Attacking in that situation? Well, he never was clever.
Of course he's a badass.

And he should realise that someone who outsmarted him wouldn't expose themselves to such an obvious risk. But as I said, he's not that clever.I will say there is at least some logic to doing that. Clearly, this kid is the enemy leader, and the kid believes that he’s one so he let his guard down and come out with only two people. If this idiot prince was able to take him captive he might have a chance to escape. Alternatively, if he goes out killing this kid that might help his people and he won’t be as mocked at his funeral.
Yeah, the idea is fine, but in practice it's a bit more iffy. At that point it's basically just shrapnel.I was thinking shotgun from the previous release, but was not expecting Shuriken "shot" ammo. Yeah it really ruins the pacing and with how short they are you cant even get back into this before its over.God I really dislike this drip-feed of partial chapters. Let it be known that my preference as a reader is to have the full chapter delivered all at once, even if it means waiting much longer between chapters.
I didn't expect the King to step in but oh well. MC has been plenty impressive already.

Having light and especially thin objects would cause them to flutter around much more in all kinds of directions. You want objects with the same or similar aerodynamics regardless of orientation; or self-stabilising objects, like arrows. Those kinds of shuriken are specifically designed to rotate and stabilise themselves that way, like a frisbee.
But on the whole, it would just reduce the effective range, not significantly alter the effect.
Kinda refreshing for the king himself to be someone proactive and frankly competent, I'm glad the author has made him more than a 2d hateful slobGod I really dislike this drip-feed of partial chapters. Well. You'd want to know why a neighboring country's people set foot in your territory yknow, who's gonna answer if they're dead? The fact that the enemy soldiers are still alive is such an ass pull though. They didn’t hesitate to feed the bandits to the dragons, but left all these enemies trying to kill them alive? Crazy.
You only need one or two of them for that. Most of the soldiers were still alive after the King’s onslaught. Why would you leave an entire battalion of enemies trying to murder you alive?Well. Simple. Those soldiers are now captives and potential slaves. And as such are valuable commodities. You only need one or two of them for that. Most of the soldiers were still alive after the King’s onslaught. Why would you leave an entire battalion of enemies trying to murder you alive?
Yeah, this is a better reasoning than the last guy’s reason. I could see this being an actual use case. Plus with the absolute powers they have rn in the village, there is 0 chances of them escaping.Simple. Those soldiers are now captives and potential slaves. And as such are valuable commodities.
Why kill them when you can sell them instead?
