The series would've been better with them acknowledging their feelings and dealing with the problems of romance between people of different stations doing dangerous work together. Instead, we get unnecessary misunderstandings stringing along the same old shoujo conflicts.

Although this manga runs in shounen-classified magazine GFantasy, the writing and artstyle is more akin to shoujo. Likely an intentional move by publisher Square Enix to draw in female readers (other GFantasy titles include Black Butler and Pandora Hearts, made by female mangaka and targeting a women audience.)

Honestly, shojou manga chara really loves to think too much about everything. . . . while i didn't really like harem manga, they tend to have better female chara. . .by better. I mean, instead of shrinking, thinking and torturing themselves. They just go ahead and attack their target.
