I see that Sploon gameplay, Splatoon 2 specifically if that HUD is anything to go by. While 2 and 3 have some similarities, 2 had a bigger HUD when compared to 3, and despite being bigger it told you less then 3. Also it’s probably just a coincidence, but the way it looks on that one page resembles the first prototype of the game when it was just big tofu blocks shooting ink at each other.

Though the way he was holding the Switch, there is no way he’s performing well at all in the game. The gyro needs a center, and the way he’s holding it, he’s locking himself out of a lot of camera/aiming area. Splatoon is really popular in Japan so it wouldn’t surprise me if the author is a fan, but the way it was portrayed makes it seem like they have no idea what they’re doing.

Also how do you mix up vanilla extract and Tabasco sauce? They look nothing alike, unless it wasn’t vanilla extract, in which case I have zero idea what kind of cookies they were making. I’ve had spicy mango cookies before, and they didn’t taste bad, but they weren’t exactly something I would crave to eat again. Speaking of which, spicy mango is becoming quite popular these days for whatever reason, I’ll never quite understand if I’m being honest.

I swear I recognize that stage he's playing on in Splatoon 2. i just can't put my finger on it... it's not Starfish Mainstage, but that screen reminds me of it.
