You could actually upscale the raw to sharper images with chaiNNer using 2x_MangaScaleV3 model like this
So the thing is, 2xMangaScale is an ESRGAN model. Running that on any manga page will result in upscaling artifacts. We agreed that we'd rather have it look blurry and not very good as long as we get to have something that looks like the original. The reality is, the publisher was releasing pages that were barely 120kb in most cases, there's just not enough data there to do much upscaling. This chapter was extra bad because the publisher is in the process of improving resolution, and their solution to that for this chapter was just saving the images at a higher resolution, which caused severe blurring. There's jpeg compression on the blurring too. I guarantee you that I know how to upscale, but there's no saving these pages.
Image quality will be much better next chapter because we're finally getting a whole 200kb of image data a page now.
