So I considered making a comment about this...

The raws for this chapter were particularly bad. They're always bad, but these were even worse than usual. We do have some upscaling processes for some series, but even that couldn't save these raws.

Next chapter should be better, thankfully.

Why is the volume art so inconsistent? I thought it was a different manga.

These are raws from comic walker. The volume raws are better, but not as good as you might hope. The source artwork just isn't as good as some series.

Next chapter should be better, but this one the quality of the raws was quite bad. Even the CLRD and TS wanted to confirm that these were the real raws. And yeah, awful quality. Slightly improved by an AI upscaling process, but a polished turd is still a turd.

Hilariously false. The most effective tool for controlling weight is controlling your diet. Even people who exercise regularly need to match caloric intake with caloric expenditure.

That said... yeah, starving yourself is stupid and counter-productive, and trying to maintain your weight when you're still growing is dumb.

So the thing is, 2xMangaScale is an ESRGAN model. Running that on any manga page will result in upscaling artifacts. We agreed that we'd rather have it look blurry and not very good as long as we get to have something that looks like the original. The reality is, the publisher was releasing pages that were barely 120kb in most cases, there's just not enough data there to do much upscaling. This chapter was extra bad because the publisher is in the process of improving resolution, and their solution to that for this chapter was just saving the images at a higher resolution, which caused severe blurring. There's jpeg compression on the blurring too. I guarantee you that I know how to upscale, but there's no saving these pages. Image quality will be much better next chapter because we're finally getting a whole 200kb of image data a page now.
