It does seem very daft to reset whenever things go wrong. Where's the harm in letting things play out further. If nothing else, pushing as far as you can in ever reset will provide more information. People don't win roguelike games by resetting every time things don't go their way, after all.

That conversation could have been incredibly shortened if dokja just said "y'know for you to be the strongest, Blondie, sure did push your little emo boy shit in! Then who had to fight him? Not your regression addicted ass that's a certainty. Now sit down, listen to your panic at the disco, and get useful, cause we got a cult leader to deep fry!"

Ignoring the Nirvana option for the moment. The premise here is obviously flawed for people to consider, though I get it's hard to apply video game logic to the real world with lives on the line. But those 54k people, vs 1 highest level. Even if the 1 highest level person lets themselves die to save the 54k (instead of killing alot of those trying to kill them, reducing the 'savings'), those 54k are likely just going to die anyway in the subsequent scenarios with their biggest powerhouse dead. These main scenarios are mostly built on needing high level elites (with specialized equipment even) to take out the bosses, or the death toll is enormously bigger (upto a complete wipe).
