To tack on, Marcus Aurelius is considered the founder of stoicism
What isn't as widely known, at least by people who just stumble across his writings, is that Aurelius never intended to share his thoughts.
His meditations were just that, meditations. Things he wrote for himself, to remind himself. Someone else just happened to find them and found them helpful, so shared them.
In probably all reality, Aurelius was a man wracked with anxiety, and his meditations were how he coped with it. Yet he is also remembered as one of the last 5 good emperors of Rome.
So its actually incredibly insulting that a demon took on his name, who pompously declared he was a regular reader of his works, and who sought to control and manipulate others.
I wonder if philosophers have their own constellations. If they were to ever meet the constellation of Aurelius, he'd probably be right pissed by every component of this whole situation.
