Also, got me thinking, but wouldn't Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, probably the X-men and F4, all be both popular enough and around long enough to be constellations?

So far none of the constellations seem to be from a modern time period (19th century onwards), certainly we haven't seen any popular leaders, generals, revolutionaries, or the like from that period as historical constellations, or something like Frankenstein as a fable constellation. So I'd assume they just don't cut it because of their time period. Though it'd get very funny if historical constellations could be from any time period, since we know that even infamous tyrants can be one.
