Call me paranoid but I can't help but shake the feeling that this whole thing is a complete troll. Like what if the window says the inverse things of what it actually says, and the friend guy is just an asshole who lied.

it would be hard to ignore but the waitress' receipt slip/name was accurate, tho other than a 'business smile' even if someone's thinking 'ew gross' to someone they don't always share it on their face versus some blunt/bully type chara that'd be honest /insulting to your face, although too bad it seems to just being a dating sim type thing as opposed to him "accidentally bumping into some upper class office lady" and overhear some business deals/investments and play the stocks and get rich or so/other benefits

After both the message window and his buddy warned him of red flags his gf is hiding, he's finally starting to get it, calling her the "last boss".

Assuming she really is the dangerous landmine girl that she looks to be, I'm just surprised she keeps putting up with him when she secretly thinks he's a good-for-nothing. If I had to guess, maybe his good looks are real, and that he's just her meek trophy bf who's the "safe backup" while she has fun sleeping around with cooler looking fuckboys and loaded old salarymen. So he's there for her to show off to other girls that "she's taken with a hot guy instead of being a single loser with no bf like these other bitches are".

Whether it's true or not, next chapter should be interesting.

I think at the beginning there was a +10 appearance correction but if he's 3/100, i would think ten points wouldn't be enough for neighbors and rando girls to think "oh he's a hunk" versus him being slightly above average, not that you have to be an overwhelming 'ikemen' to get decent dates

Well depends on the story but it’s not the first time some unreliable narrators /stories have lied to us before (tho I guess the guy didn’t have much to lose just dumping her bc she’s just a gf and not some wife and doing a divorce)
