He actually seems like the kind of person who likes and prefers ambiguous relationships that can move in one direction one day and the other direction the next day. That is, benefits with no commitment. Previously it was said he just has difficulties in relationships because he's too nice toward everyone, but I'm starting to somewhat doubt that. If he was so nice, he would have accepted Mianhua's declaration immediately. Now it seems like he wanted time to figure out how to make Mianhua reverse her decision and return them to the old relationship, where nobody knows what it is, and thus Yifeng could potentially take advantage of Mianhua, should he ever feel like it.

Omg NOOOO and those people always hide behind the kindest of smiles, I genuinely hope he isn't like that and he's just short of being assertive (then again he did kinda start something up without having cleared up his last one, and the fact that he's apologetic now means that he knows he was leading on fl at that time) 🥲 Like the romance between ml and fl is so fresh and fun but whenever yifeng shows up, it gives me an icky feeling 😩
