so where do we go from here? history is gonna play out like been told, Roger and Garp taking down Xebec. but Imu still a very present threat, that cant be banished with another Joyboy knot. something has to force them to leave too, without dealing with Roger and Garp

Rocks... I hope he can at least go out with a smile on his face the way so many others in this story have had the blessing to. I'm glad Roger and Garp are also going into this fight knowing that he isn't quite in control, would've been too cruel if the only people that could stop him looked down on him while doing so

seeing Eris cry over her husband losing himself really got to me too, nice that she at least made it out alongside Teach (Kuma the GOAT as always). Hitting this point in the backstory and knowing what we know... I wonder if Teach focused so hard on the dark-dark fruit and was willing to kill for it because he knows some of Imu's powers from what Eris told him and thinks this is the one devil fruit (aside from the gum-gum, of course) that could cancel out those powers to actually take down Imu... like if he put his hands on someone affected by Domi Reversi, could he cancel it out? If Imu's immortality comes from a previous op-op fruit user, could his powers even cancel that out? It feels like his entire crew is built to give Teach even one singular moment to get close enough to Imu to kill them......

I FUCKING love Kuma!!! The last panel with Rocks begging Roger and Garp to just kill him was just sad. I'm glad they at least know now that he's not in control though. Being able to resist a little and speak to them, probably from "the voice of all things"? Just goes to show how strong Rocks is.

I'm also very curious how/where Shanks and Shamrock are going to separate and how/when Dragon decides to become a revolutionary. Is someone going to save Shanks? Will it be Dragon? Is it Figarland who will take Shamrock? So much stuff happening here it's amazing.

In regards to Shanks, his chest was taken by the Rogers pirates. They likely assume he was the child of this island and with what just happened, they don't know where any family would be, so they take it on themselves to raise him and keep him safe.
