Prince Loki has joined the battle!

Prince Loki Uses Nibelheim! It's Super Effective!

I like that killing the knights hurt Imu. I just hope Gunko can be spared.

Loki would make for a monstrous addition to the Strawhats if he did join. Although tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed in Elbaph and ruled alongside Hajrudin as duo kings. I also find it interesting how similar Shanks and Ace are to one another, about how they both resented their blood lineage and despised their fathers, albeit in the case of Ace he at least had some begrudging respect for Rogers.

got our first island that is a D. maybe that's what King Cobra meant as well. it's not strictly the bloodlines that stand against Imu, whole nations do as well

Tbf, I think God Valley already proved that. It sheltered the Davy Family, an infamous D. Family that dates back to the legendary Davy D. Jones. The island was also not affiliated with the World Government and sought to avoid joining hands with them. Overall, it seems that Imu's policy regarding D. is whether the individuals in question are related to D.; the island(s) that housed said individuals continue to do so and whether it acts to protect them, whether the island(s) are affiliated with the World Government, and/or whether the island(s) possess information on the void century.

For the most part, Elbaph fits all of that considering:
  • There's a giant who's a member of D. (Saul); and as such, there could be other giants as well.
  • D. has greatly influenced Elbaph. Rocks played a great role in shaping both Harald and Loki's views on things, and it was well known for the World Government just how close Harald and Rocks friendship was.
  • Elbaph wasn't affiliated with the World Government.
  • Elbaph possesses forbidden knowledge regarding the void century.
With that said, this is only speculation since it doesn't exactly answer some other questions especially on the Monkey D. family. After all, at this point, it can be safe to assume that everyone knows that the Monkey D. family, starting from Garp, had been in Dawn Island. Yet the World Government made no attempt to attack the island as means of punishment. Perhaps they see no reason for it, or maybe that was one benefit of Garp working with the Marines. It's also possible that until the current place in the story, the Monkey D. family were probably the lesser of the D clan especially in comparison to the Davy D., and Gol D. clans.

Hmm, guess Oda is saving another flashback for later as to why Loki and Shanks fought. Definitely curious about that and what happened to Lokis crew of surviving soldiers.

Huh, all that flashbacks and still no cause of what made Loki hate Shanks. They seem to be fine with each other the last time we see them together. Is it saved for later?

so if the hammer-squirrel's power is the ice of Niflheim, would Loki's power be the fire of Muspelheim?
