As far we seen, most of the time they arent being controlled ... there were just two instances were the curse activated in a way we never seen before and they were having their libido increased and another instance were one was possessed.

In the case, she clearly likes him and got upset when the "curse lifting ritual" didnt involved sex otherwise she would turn that aggressive, we know him of being more or less asexual being too focused on breaking the curse to apparently feel anything and the series is not going there like so many series that simply will have ...
