@Velsy Not only is it a big problem, it makes the very core of the story incoherent. The story portrays the main MC as being irrational and weird and an outcast, but after being told that they will eventually eat you, his conduct should be the norm. Even if you said "The government hides it" there's no way you could hide the fact that these things eat their hosts from 7+ billion people. It'd be seen, recorded, uploaded, spread out somewhere. Yet their society seems to ignore the obvious psychological damage we see here and the physical threat because....stands are cool?
Really curious how the author is going to justify an actively fatal, parasitic relationship with these things, to the point that society hasn't completely broken down or shunned them.
