How could she faint with just holding her oshi's hand?? she's already given her chocolates and gifts and has given her a lap pillow so she could nap before her concert. Thats leagues and leagues jump from casual hand grabbing! :V
The girl is getting a dream of her life finally achieved and she is actually being recognized by her crush. She got into showbiz to get closer to her and it actually works and she helps her to be more successful. No wonder she can't keep up

yeah no, it's just your typical slow burn and very likely that being a couple will be the final rather than just a step

the slowburn in Akebi works extremely, exceptionally well.
this one, though, is a comedy first.
it's not a slowburn, it's a manga that disguises itself as yuri but actually consists of comedy and shenanigans up to 99.9% per chapter.
what we just had in chapter 20 was development, but there is hardly any romance, instead it's the first step in a different direction.
it was getting repetitive after all.
but that's the shtick here, it's not supposed to progress much at all.

and that's a shame.

unfortunaly, Akebi is one of few exceptions, slow burns like this yuri here is way too common, to trully make it work imo you either need a very good art (like Akebi and how the author portray emotions) or a very strong story, and even better when it's both (my current favorite being The Dark Lord's Confession)

I don't like that there's a countdown now. Something real bad is going to happen to Sera :worry:

Pre-serialization version Sera would have actually teased Sayuki instead of fainting.

This is great loss for the otakus that like their oshis being a little playfully mean 😔

If Chizuru saying she's in her period is in a double-spread, then any double-spread page is necessary. No matter how dumb it is.

Sayuki is struggling and getting closer to the inevitable conclusion we've all known for some time. That she needs to be authentic to win fans and that she suffers from crippling self esteem issues. Good thing Sera is pushing her to be more confident in not putting up a mask
