Fascinating opinion.
The institution of organised policing has its origins in slave-catchers and strike-breakers, this is a matter of historical record.

Contemporary policing may no longer be that, but they still exist to serve the interests of the wealthy, in part by suppressing the proletariat, one of the most instructive examples of this is a US supreme court case that found police have no legal obligation to protect people, which is what they claim their job to be.

The US may be an extreme example, but the history of police being a tool of Control by the ruling class is near-universal, because it certainly is not an effective means of addressing crime. Most crimes go unsolved, police presence and funding has no relationship to an area's level of crime, and between laws criminalising poverty and bigotry in policing, police typically only increase the level of instability in a society, there is cold hard data on this.

I tend to agree I just didn't expect to see this in a mangadex forum

I already have to turn off my disbelief with the original because in that one is technically an early 20s man hanging out with middle school girls and is already very Iffy, but now is technically a mid 20s early 30s man hanging out (and more) with high schooler girls to make it even more iffy...

Mahiro should have end up with Yuta Sakurada not Momiji, it's way too cursed and body proportions are too exaggerated

for me, the two things with this version that make it more palatable than the original are A: having lived a number of years now, growing up alongside these other characters, Mahiro's connection to the person they were before the girlification juice has become tenuous, they've basically had a second childhood at that point.

And B: the Power Dynamic, Momiji is very explicitly the one in charge between the two, who knows how to sweep Mahiro off her feet.

Yes the literal details of what's going on are still a bit sus, but there's enough allegorical and magical realism woven into the story to make this... almost a sort of halfway reincarnation story at this point, especially when we see bits of the collage years that show Mahiro is stuck in girlmode permanently now, as well as having become in some ways, a maiden at heart.
